American artist and art teacher Christine Lyons Rendell will visit Övedskloster to teach a new and exclusive course in oil painting coupled with the history of American art.

This artist is particularly interested in still life and trompe l’oeil. Her deep knowledge of European but also and perhaps especially 19th century American art will give the course an interesting angle. Having taught painting for many years to scholars of all ages, she will be an enthusiastic as well as excellent guide in your own work.

For five days in August this year,  the Spanish artist Chema Rodríguez, Profesor colaborador de Dibujo del Natural. Facultad de Bellas Artes de Sevilla, will visit Övedskloster for this exclusive course in history of art and painting.

This young painter  (born 1976) visited Övedskloster  for the first time some years ago and has returned  to Sweden many times since then to paint commissioned portraits.
